Analytics FC are pleased to announce our latest partnership, with AEL Limassol, further expanding our growing network of clubs in Europe. AEL’s agreement with Analytics FC will see the club access our TransferLab data-scouting platform, developed in collaboration with LCP. Under the direction of new Head of Scouting Ioannis Theodorou, AEL is expanding its focus on using cutting-edge data and technology to add value to their scouting and player assessment processes, while also looking to harness its already impressive youth set-up.
Ioannis, who joined AEL this year, brings extensive experience to the club, including a period in the England set-up. Working alongside new Head of First Team Football Ivan Trickovski and Head of Administration Charis Vouras, Theodorou was keen to bring TransferLab to AEL having already used the platform in a previous role.
Theodorou stressed the importance of data-driven insights for achieving long-term objectives. “The Cypriot league has really increased its use of data analytics, especially in recruitment, in the past few years and it is crucial to have that as a key plank of the club’s strategy. Having worked closely with Analytics FC before, I know that the insights and quality of the TransferLab platform will help us identify and attract talent that can take the club to new heights,” said Theodorou.
