Gillingham Football Club, the League Two club, has become the latest team to sign up to Analytics FC’s market-leading scouting platform, TransferLab. TransferLab was developed in a unique collaboration between Analytics FC and financial and sporting analysts Lane Clark & Peacock (LCP).
The Gills, under the leadership of owner Brad Galinson, have recently appointed highly-regarded manager Gareth Ainsworth, a former LMA League Two manager of the year and someone with experience of guiding clubs to promotion. Galinson acquired a majority stake in the club in 2022 and took over as chairman the following year, heralding a period of growth and investment in the Gills. Intelligent use of data is a central plank of Galinson’s approach to driving Gillingham forwards, and so working with the cutting-edge TransferLab tool is part of an integrated strategy to transform the club’s approach, on and off the pitch.
