Analytics FC are pleased to announce our latest partnership, with Ilves Football, further expanding our growing network of European clubs. Under the guidance of sporting director Miika Takkula, Ilves is set on an exciting path, merging a dedication to nurturing homegrown talent with cutting-edge data and technology.
Ilves has chosen to use our premier data services, including the TransferLab data-scouting platform, developed in collaboration with LCP. This collaboration highlights Ilves’ commitment to innovative solutions for enhancing their scouting and player assessment processes.
Miika Takkula, who joined Ilves in 2023 after a successful 15-year tenure at HJK Helsinki, brings extensive experience to the club. During his time at HJK, Takkula led the team to three consecutive Finnish Championship titles and made notable appearances in the group stages of both the Europa League and the Conference League. The aim under his leadership is to elevate Ilves to challenge the top clubs in Finnish football.
Takkula emphasized the importance of data-driven insights for achieving long-term objectives. “Our vision for Ilves is to build a successful team centered around homegrown players while integrating data and technology into our scouting and coaching methods. Having worked closely with Analytics FC before, I trust in their expertise and the quality of the TransferLab platform to help us identify and develop promising talents who will drive the club to new heights,” said Takkula.
Jeremy Steele, CEO of Analytics FC, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “The developments at Ilves, including their new stadium and the appointment of a proven sporting director like Miika, are incredibly exciting for us. We are confident that our data services will be pivotal in their journey. We look forward to supporting Ilves as they strive to achieve their ambitious goals in Finnish football.”
