We are delighted to announce that West Ham United Women F.C. are the newest club to sign up to the TransferLab platform.
Since March 2021, Analytics FC, in collaboration with Lane Clark & Peacock, has provided access to the first standalone Women’s Football Data analytics platform. This ground-breaking initiative, boosted by a partnership in 2021 with the ECA, has ensured that Analytics FC is at the forefront of making high-quality, actionable data available to clubs across the Women’s game.
Now, WSL club West Ham United have joined the platform, which provides cutting-edge tools to improve and simplify recruitment. The club finished 6th in the 2022 WSL league table, up two places from the season before, and are aiming to push even higher on under new manager Paul Konchesky.
Jackson Huxley, Performance Analyst at West Ham United, said, “This partnership with Analytics FC, which gives us access to their brilliant TransferLab platform, is a real step-change for how the club can carry out recruitment. In an increasingly competitive WSL, great scouting and data analysis is as important as great coaching and players, so we are really excited to use this tool.”
Jeremy Steele, CEO and Founder of Analytics FC, added, “We are really pleased to seal this partnership with one of the most dynamic clubs in the league. Providing data for the Women’s game isn’t enough – you have to achieve buy-in from clubs – and so we are really excited to see West Ham showing that there is a desire and demand for these kind of products at the top end of the women’s professional game.”
TransferLab uses event data from over 100 men’s and 20 women’s league from around the world, covering around 100,000 male and 20,000 female players. It uses advanced analytics to assess each player’s past performance and help predict their future performance. The TransferLab Player Privacy Policy can be accessed here.
