THE CHALLENGE
Arranging friendly matches can be a cumbersome task for football clubs, involving significant time and effort.
The European Club Association (ECA) recognized the need to streamline this process for their member clubs, reducing the administrative burden and mitigating the risks and costs associated with arranging friendlies across Europe.
OUR APPROACH
ECA required a data-led approach to give their Clubs specific insight and guidance on how to optimize their friendly fixture choices.
They chose to incorporate our data and utilize TransferLab’s software engineering team to build a bespoke, innovative online platform designed to simplify the organization of friendly fixtures for men’s, women’s, and youth football clubs.
ECA launched the ECA Fixture Hub in April 2023, exclusively available to all ECA Members and Network Clubs.
THE RESULT
The ECA Fixture Hub has revolutionized the coordination of friendly matches, providing clubs with effortless access to suitable opponents.
Through advanced search functionalities, clubs can easily identify matches based on location, calendar availability, and specific criteria such as opponent team strength ratings and recent fixture results.
This data-driven approach, facilitated by TransferLab data and know-how, not only saves clubs valuable time but also contributes to their development by facilitating competitive matchups.
