Al-Rayyan Sports Club aimed to regain its position as a top team in Qatari football.

THE RESULT
Key transfers were confirmed, such as the signing of 21 year old Gabriel Pereira from New York City FC, André Amaro from Vitória SC and Rodrigo from Leeds United.
Al-Rayyan’s immediate improvement was rewarded when the club secured Qatari cup final appearance.
They followed this up with second-place in the league, clinching a Champions League spot marking a return to the international stage and reaffirming their status as an elite team in Qatari and Asian football.
