Analytics FC Partner with ECA as Part of the ‘Be a Changemaker’ Strategy

Analytics FC are pleased to announce a ground-breaking new service partnership with the European Club Association (ECA). The partnership is focused on Women’s football clubs within the ECA’s network. The ECA’s membership spans over 230 clubs, including Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Borussia Dortmund, Napoli, Ajax and Lyon. As part of the partnership, ECA member clubs can secure a subscription to Analytics FC’s TransferLab data analytics platform.

In March, Analytics FC, in collaboration with Lane Clark & Peacock, announced the launch of the first standalone Women’s Football Data analytics platform. In the same month, the ECA announced the publication of its first-ever women’s football strategy—‘Be a Changemaker’—which aims to help the progression of women’s football through creative actions to deliver lasting positive change.

One of the key areas around which the “Be a Changemaker” strategy revolves is “accelerated professionalisation” which looks to give clubs the opportunity to access innovative services and products. It was this initiative that led the ECA and Analytics FC to collaborate.

Claire Bloomfield, ECA’s Head of Women’s Football said: “Data-driven insights to support recruitment and player development are essential tools for elite clubs. Whilst they are commonplace in the men’s game, there has been little to no offering dedicated to the women’s – until now. In line with ECA’s ambition to be at the forefront of positive change and innovation, we are delighted to partner with TransferLab and take this game-changing platform to leading women’s teams around Europe.”
